The stern disciplinarian and teacher Saturn has acquired a bad "rap" since he stands for the maturing process in us. Mythically Saturn is associated with Chronos, the Greek god of time and harvest. Through restrictions and eliminations, through endurance and hard work, via these and other of its "tests," Saturn stabilizes only the healthy, rightfully earned, positive aspects and relationships in life. Now only earthy Capricorn (December 22-January 20) is ruled by Saturn; air-sign Aquarius having been assigned to Uranus. Capricorn bears heavy responsibilities, yet perseveres and scales his summits. And ages like fine wine!
