Lead is the metal of Capricorn, and heavy-handed is the planet Saturn, its ruler. So it seems that even Capricorn babies look a bit like wizened old men and women, certainly more mature right from the start. In childhood, there will be more severe responsibilities for them to handle, perhaps as a helpmate to an ailing parent. At some point in life, almost inevitably they will voluntarily become caretakers of an incapacitated loved one. Saturn-ruled, they will be citizens of substance having earned the respect, admiration, and love of their spouses, families, and community. As time advances, the agile goat himself only grows healthier and stronger. He ages gracefully and is freer to enjoy the second half of life.
